Mass woody weed control program for City of Onkaparinga

The URBANS Environmental staff have been implementing a mass woody weed control program focussing on primarily Olive (Olea europea) with the Christies Creek system for the City of Onkaparinga.

The Drilling and filling technique is the chosen method of attack due to the effectiveness of controlling the nominated weed species in-situ.

Once the olives have been browned off and lost all leaf structure, they will be cut, piled and burnt as part of the seasonal vegetation pile burning program.

This particular Christie Creek site consists of Lomandra sp. / Themeda triandra grassland leading into a Eucalyptus camadulensis riparian woodland.
