ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Minimum Certificate III in Horticulture or equivalent
  • Experience in the coordination of field staff including technical experience, allocation of labour, plant and materials with a proven record of the effective management of personnel and resources
  • Experience in effective work’s programming
  • Strong customer focus (internal and external)
  • Business management skills, understanding of costs and working to budgets
  • Effective computer skills with knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate ideas, instructions and information
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain and enhance relationships with clients, contractors and staff in order to achieve desired outcomes
  • A National Police clearance

  • Oversee multiple projects ensuring all works are delivered on time and of the highest standard
  • Coordinate and monitor all facets of the project (staff, sub-contractors, materials, resources)
  • Understanding contracts, managing sub-contractor and supplier agreements
  • Work with the construction budget
  • Continual project status communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead and promote safety, quality and environmental company culture
  • Contribute to continual learning and development of the team by providing coaching and mentorship
  • Assist in tender reviews, reports and budgets for senior management and stakeholders

ABOUT YOU

To be successful you must have:

  • A professional qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Building or Construction or a trade qualification with extensive knowledge, skills, and project experience
  • Proven experience with successful delivery of civil and/or landscape construction projects
  • Sound professional engineering knowledge to identify and resolve issues
  • Experience with estimating to assist with variations
  • Effective leadership and people management skills
  • Strong numeric, technical, and analytical skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, including multitasking against competing priorities

Due to continual growth within SA, an opportunity exists to join our landscape construction team to deliver a broad range of landscape & irrigation projects across our large portfolio of valued clients.
To join our landscape construction team as an Irrigation Technician, you will need be able to:

  • Understand and have the capability to install automated system such as – Decorder, Multicore, Hybrid and Battery operated controllers and wiring.
  • Read and interpret site plans and specification.
  • Proactively show initiative with ideas, problem solving, amendments and providing regular communication to supervisors.
  • Ensure projects are completed to our high standards following the Inspection Testing Points.
  •  Working efficiently and completing tasks in a timely manner.
  • Comply to company policy in regard to OH&S, Quality Control and Environmental Systems.
  • Experience with pumps or plumbing licences would be desired but not essential.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in irrigation installation;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Excellent customer service skills; and
  • Able to operate independently.
