High Tree Work at Government House

Seven tories high, a running chainsaw and no net? It sounds like something you would see on Australia’s Got Talent. But it’s just a day in the office for UrbanVirons.

A recent audit on the gum trees of Government House identified some limbs that presented a risk to visitors and to pedestrians walking past the perimeter.

UrbanVirons maintain the grounds and gardens of Government House and are responsible for the health of the trees and making sure that they do not present any risk to the public.

Most of the limbs could be trimmed using conventional cherry pickers and elevated work platforms, however a few of the trees required a tree climber who was handy with a chain saw. As I said, just a day in the office..
